THE EMPIRE OF HAVANA, to be shot on location in the legendary architecture of the era, is a portrait of the last days of the U.S. mob in Dictator Batista’s Cuba, as seen through the eyes of a young croupier who was the personal driver of Meyer Lansky, the architect of the mafia’s overseas empire. By 1957, the ‘financier of the mob’, Meyer Lansky had already built enough hotels and casinos in Havana to produce and house the criminal proceeds of the U.S. mafia.

Cuban Harley riders - otherwise known as ‘Harlistas’ - have formed a distinct subculture that spans back more than half a century. Keeping these classic American bikes running during the embargo has taken extreme ingenuity and shown a love for a Classic American Icon.
